Ethnic Talent: My height and youthful good looks! :)
Raised Roman Catholic, Leo was quite familiar with the teachings of Christianity. However, it was while in university that Leo had a powerful encounter with God that changed the trajectory of his life forever. Leo's goals switched from wanting to be a rich businessman to being a Jesus-follower to share God's love with others. Eventually, Leo went on staff at an emerging church in North York, Ontario and later in an established church in Brampton. Leo has a Bachelor of Commerce from McMaster University, a Master of Divinity from Tyndale Seminary, and has received various training and hands-on experience in New Church Development. Leo enjoys volleyball, golf, and especially camping and fishing with his wife and three children.
Nursery/Stewardship—Linda Agter
Ethnicity: Dutch
Ethnic Talent: I am a very typical cheap Dutchman who can make just about anything out of even a toilet paper roll.
Linda has come from many years of working with children both through the Church and Community. Linda, and ECE graduate later granted ECE Certification, worked in Daycare and Nursery School as a teacher and supervisor for 20+ years. During this time, as well, she was a Sunday School Superintendent and teacher for the Burlington Christian Reformed Church. One of Linda's accomplishments is working in the International Language Program at both the Hamilton Wentworth District Seperate School Board (HWDSSB) and Halton District Seperate School Board. Linda designed and sold a two-year cirriculum to the HWDSSB to assist other cultures in running a multi-level International Language Class
Children’s Ministries Director—Audrey McGregor
Audrey McGregor has a BA from Calvin College in Criminal Justice and Social Work. She has worked with children and youth in a number of capacities ranging from Child and Youth Worker in a group home for emotionally disturbed children (9 years), children’s ministries director (5 years) and school teacher (2 years). Audrey currently teaches Grade 5 at Trinity Christian School in Burlington, and serves as Leadership Trainer for GEMS Girls Clubs. She, her husband Charles (a Toronto firefighter) and their two daughters attend Living Mosaic Christian Reformed Church.
Administrative Assistant—Jenna Bloemendal
Ethnicity: Canadian
Ethnic Talent: Waking up with a coffee already in her hand
Jenna has been working at Living Mosaic since August '08. She is astounded to find herself in this administrative position, considering her history of chronic disorganization; apparently keeping things together is easier when it's your job. She has a Bachelor of Music Therapy from Wilfrid Laurier University, which is slightly irrelevant in this blurb, but interesting. Here at Living Mosaic, Jenna spends her time working on any and every administrative task possible, which means--sending a lot of emails.
